Laws regarding the operation of bicycles in Kentucky are also covered by Kentucky Administrative Regulation 601.14.020 under the authority of Kentucky Revised Statute 189.287: Bicycle Safety Regulations and Standards. This is commonly overlooked but is an important part of Kentucky Bicycle Law. The Kentucky Bicycle and Bikeway Commission has revised KAR 601.14.020 and it will be submitted to the Legislature next month. It could become law by may of 2009.
